Sometimes the bone of the missing tooth is too small to place the implant.  Dr. Nguyen uses different grafting material to “grow” the bone volume.

Depend on the individual situations, when the bone height of the maxillary edentulous area is not adequate for placing the dental implant (this condition is known as “sinus pneumotization”),  Dr. Nguyen elects to use either lateral approach or crestal approach to add more bone on the sinus floor.

Over time the dentures usually become loose because of the atropy of the edentulous ridge.  The patients have a hard time to keep the dentures in place.  The mini-implants can be used to help these patients.   It is a cost-effective procedure and can be done in one visit.
